The Brownhouse of Fine Arts Gallery/Studio was founded in 2007. The Gallery is located in a building built in 1895. It is situated in the historic downtown area of Springville, Utah only three blocks from the world famous Springville Museum of Art. Springville is known as the “Art City”.
The Gallery at 274 South Main is the only gallery in the historic district on Main Street. The location allows the patrons to stroll the historic district and peer in the large picture windows as they see either Marilyn Brown or her husband W. Bill Brown, Jr. painting their beautiful paintings in a studio setting. Upon further entry to the gallery, the walls are adorned with landscapes, skyscapes, seascapes and abstracts both traditional and contemporary. Principally housing their own art, they also select a variety of art from other local artists.
A leisure walk through this small gallery is an adventure and a cultural experience. You can see up to 150 paintings in one small gallery. One can learn a great deal about the artistic expression of the artists whose work is hung in the Brownhouse of Fine Arts. Bill Brown can be reached via email or phone 801-372-1068.
